What is concurrent enrollment?
High school concurrent enrollment refers to a program that allows high school students to take college-level courses while still being enrolled in high school, earning both high school and college credit simultaneously. This provides students with an opportunity to experience more advanced academic challenges and get a head start on their college education.
Do I have to take the certification exams?
You have the choice to either take the certification exam for the class final or do a project in lieu of the exam.
Do I have to pay for the certification exam?
We are able to cover the costs of the curriculum and the voucher for the exam. So, there is no cost to you!
Do I have to pay for concurrent enrollment through Aims CC?
There is a $25 fee to get concurrent enrollment credit from Aims CC. If there are any issues with payment, please let us know. A 3-credit course at Aims CC is normally $318 for in-state students. Quite a bit of savings!
If I take Intro to Cybersecurity at Silver Creek or Mead does it count for the pre-requisite?
Yes, it does! We have collaborated together to create a similar experience in all three schools.
Will the concurrent enrollment class count at my college choice?
Aims CC has a reciprocal agreement with Colorado public colleges. However, check with your school of choice to see if they will accept it as part of your major or just as an elective.
